6HA Privacy Policy

The Architectural Principle

6HA is a browser-based image metadata remover where all processing runs locally inside the browser of the visitor. The privacy posture of 6HA follows directly from that architecture. Every image you drop onto 6HA remains within your browser tab from the first byte read to the moment the cleaned file downloads to your device.

Zero Personal Data Collection

6HA at 6ha.net collects zero personal data. 6HA requires zero accounts, zero registration, and zero login. 6HA asks for zero personal information at any point. Every visit to 6HA happens with complete anonymity, where the operator of 6HA has no mechanism to identify, profile, or contact the individual visitor.

How Images Stay on Your Device

When you drag an image, a folder of images, or a single file selection onto 6HA, the file is read by your browser through the standard File API and held in memory inside your browser tab. The byte-level parsing of JPEG, PNG, and WebP containers runs as JavaScript executing in your local engine. The canvas fallback for GIF, BMP, and other formats runs through your local 2D rendering context. The ZIP packaging for multi-file batches runs through the JSZip library, also executing locally. The cleaned output downloads to your device through a standard browser download, where the source of the download is a Blob URL generated entirely on your machine.

The 6HA server delivers the page assets, namely the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, the JSZip library, the fonts, and the static images, on the first visit. After that delivery completes, the server has no endpoint, no infrastructure, and no mechanism designed to receive image data from your browser. Verification is available at any moment through the network tab of your browser developer tools, where the absence of upload traffic during a cleaning operation is observable in real time.

The privacy of 6HA is not a promise written in policy alone. The privacy lives in the architecture of the application, where every visitor can confirm the behavior with the standard tools that come built into every modern browser.

What 6HA Stores and Where

6HA saves a single category of preference to local browser storage on the device of the visitor. When you press the theme button to switch between the light and dark color schemes, your choice persists between visits so that 6HA opens in your preferred scheme on the next session. The stored value reads as 6ha:theme and contains either the word light or the word dark. The value contains zero identifying information, the value remains on your device, and the value serves only to preserve visual preference. Clearing browser storage removes the theme preference of 6HA from that browser.

6HA does not maintain a history of cleaned images. 6HA does not save filenames, image bytes, file sizes, or any other element of the cleaning workflow between sessions. Every visit begins with a clean slate.

Cookies, Tracking, and Analytics

A browsing session with 6HA involves zero cookies, zero tracking scripts, zero tracking pixels, zero advertising tags, zero remarketing tags, zero behavioral profiling, and zero browser fingerprinting. 6HA operates without any visitor monitoring or data collection mechanism of any kind. The number of advertisers, partners, data brokers, and trackers participating in a 6HA visit is exactly zero.

Third-Party Resources

6HA loads stylesheets, scripts, fonts, and the JSZip library from third-party content delivery networks, including the Bootstrap framework distributed by jsDelivr, the Inter typeface served by Google Fonts, and the JSZip library served by cdnjs. When your browser retrieves these resources, the hosting servers receive standard connection metadata as part of each request, including IP address, request path, request timestamp, and browser type. Third-party content delivery providers operate under their own respective privacy policies, which govern how those providers handle the connection data they receive. Loading resources from content delivery networks is standard practice across the web. Visitors who seek maximum network privacy may use browser extensions or privacy-focused browser configurations to manage how third-party resources load.

The Daily Features Section

The 6HA home page includes a daily features section curated in collaboration with the highly prestigious A' Design Award and Competition. The featured imagery loads from infrastructure operated by the A' Design Award and Competition. When a browser loads the 6HA home page, the browser retrieves the daily feature imagery directly from that infrastructure, which receives standard connection metadata as part of each image request. The privacy practices of the A' Design Award and Competition govern the handling of those requests. The daily features section presents static visual content and accepts no input from interaction with the metadata remover.

Server Logs

The web server that delivers 6HA records standard technical details during routine operation, including the IP address of the requesting device, the requested URL path, the timestamp of the request, the type and version of the browser, and the referring URL where applicable. Server logs serve standard operational purposes, including security monitoring, performance analysis, abuse prevention, and routine infrastructure maintenance. Server logs contain technical request data only. The image bytes, the filenames, the cleaned outputs, the theme preference, and every other element of the metadata-removal workflow remain client-side and remain absent from 6HA server logs.

Internet Infrastructure

Visiting any website involves standard internet routing. Your internet service provider, your domain name resolver, your network administrator where applicable, and the network infrastructure operators between your device and the 6HA server can observe that a connection occurred to 6HA, alongside the timing and the volume of the communication. 6HA uses encrypted HTTPS connections, which protect the content of data transfers between your browser and the 6HA server. The existence of the connection itself remains visible to participating internet infrastructure providers, as is standard with all web traffic worldwide.

Local Browser and System Environment

6HA keeps every operation within your browser tab, accessible only to you on your local device. At the same time, your browser, your operating system, and any software running on your device operate within their own permissions, independently of 6HA. Installed applications, browser extensions, accessibility tools, screen readers, password managers, system-level software, and synchronization services may have visibility into content displayed on your screen or files held in your browser memory. 6HA has no visibility into and no influence over what other software on your device can observe. Visitors handling sensitive imagery are encouraged to consider their full system environment as part of overall practice.

Children

6HA is a general-purpose utility accessible to people of all ages. 6HA collects zero personal data from any visitor, regardless of age. Because no personal information is gathered at any point, no special provisions for children are necessary. 6HA is equally privacy-preserving for every visitor, in every language, on every device.

Data Subject Rights

Under applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union, a visitor may have rights regarding access to, correction of, deletion of, and portability of personal data. Because 6HA is designed to operate without collecting or storing personal data, the entity operating 6HA holds no personal data to access, correct, delete, or transfer. The single value 6HA stores in browser storage, namely the theme preference, exists exclusively in your local browser and is controlled directly through your browser settings. For questions or concerns regarding rights in relation to 6HA, please contact the entity operating 6HA through the channels disclosed in the 6HA Impressum.

Translations

6HA is published in many languages as a courtesy to visitors around the world. The 6HA privacy policy may be made available in languages other than English through translated versions of this page. The English-language version published at the canonical 6HA privacy policy URL is the authoritative version. In the event of any conflict, discrepancy, ambiguity, or inconsistency between the English-language version and any translated version, the English-language version shall prevail and govern in all respects.

Changes to This Policy

The entity operating 6HA may update this privacy policy as the application evolves. The current version is always published at the canonical URL of the 6HA privacy policy page. Continued use of 6HA following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

The architectural summary. 6HA runs in your browser. The images you drop stay on your device. Zero cookies, zero analytics, zero accounts, zero uploads, zero tracking, zero advertising. Open the network tab in your browser developer tools and watch the architecture confirm itself in real time.

What 6HA does & doesn't remove: We strip standard metadata fields - EXIF, GPS, camera serials, author tags, IPTC/XMP, ICC profiles, edit history, embedded thumbnails, comments, PNG text chunks. We cannot remove information encoded in the image pixels themselves: digital watermarks, steganography, or visual cues that "geo-guessers" might use to identify a place from the photo.
